Summer 2010 All-Stars Photos
The Landau Lawyers League hosted its 2ND Annual Summer Basketball All Star Games on August 8th at the Staples Center. Once again, the area’s law firms were represented by their top players exhibiting their talent on the court as well as traditionally in court.
In the first game, All Stars from the “B” Division combined to form teams that competed in a close and tightly played contest. Spectators knew the game was going to be close from the get go. It started off with David Lalazarian of Girardi & Keese hitting a 3 point shot which was answered by Steve Aylsworth of Gibbs Giden. The score at the end of regulation was tied 54-54. In overtime, Vince Girardi of Girardi & Keese made a clutch 3 pointer at the buzzer, tipping the Trojans over the Bruins, 59-56. Game MVP was Ryan Crain of Paul Hastings with 16 points.
The League’s second All-Star game was just as exciting when the “A” All-Stars took the floor at the Staples Center. The “A” Clippers were up by two at half-time. The Clippers gradually pulled ahead of the Lakers, resulting in a 55-49 victory. Chris Harmon of Lewis Brisbois was the MVP, scoring a game high of 15 pts.
In the “C” Division All-Star Game, the Heat exhibited good sportsmanship in a strong attempt against the Celtics, but were outscored, 65-45. Craig Weinstein of Nemecek & Cole and Toussaint Bailey of Reeder Lu were Co-MVPs.
All participants were presented with League Sports Towels and the winners received Certificates. High point scorers of the winning teams received MVP League T-Shirts.
